Increase in electricity rates, restrictions on labor unions

Ever since the government of Pakistan fell into economic trouble, no one has been assigning its responsibilities, nor has anyone been held responsible for how in 70 years, nine and a half years have passed. Millions of people have gone below the poverty line and are in need of daily bread. Increasing their prices has become a daily routine, oil products, electricity, gas, it was the responsibility of the government to provide free education and health at cheap prices, all these things have now disappeared for the Pakistani nation and today we hear this. It is never heard that the price of anything is being reduced. Now the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has requested Nepra to increase the price of electricity by five rupees and 62 paise per unit. The hearing will be held on January 31. After the approval, there will be an additional burden of more than 49 billion rupees on the consumers. Not a day goes by when we don’t hear the news of price increase. In the last 15 days, the prices of sugar, pulses, onions, tomatoes, rice, milk and meat have increased significantly, and LPG prices have been deliberately increased. How can the people be in a bad position when the price of petrol was reduced by 8 rupees per litre, it was expected that the government would directly benefit the people because the people who were oppressed by inflation are now somehow Even Majeed is not able to bear more load, but immediately after the increase in electricity prices, he became a dream because the electricity consumer is more compared to the oil products used. It is that no movement should arise from any place, people should not protest, they have banned all the union activities of the power sector, the supervisory setup to ban the union activities in the power sector. The decision to enact the Pakistan Incentive Service Maintenance Act, 1952 was not his job nor is it his mandate for the caretaker government to take such major decisions. There are still a few weeks left for the general elections that the caretaker cabinet has to take a decision. It should have been left to the elected government, but this is not the first time that the authorities have resorted to this law to harass public sector employees. In recent years, this law has been implemented to curb the activities of labor laws in PIA Utility Stores Corporation. has completely weakened the organizations and limited the powers of labor unions who are no longer able to secure better working conditions for workers and act as collective bargaining agents. Both the authorities and the private sector see their workers as part of the problem rather than the solution. This mindset needs to change if it is toIf it is not changed, it will be equal to the hostility of the workers. The workers who have already suffered badly and do not even get a daily wage. The darkness of poverty, inflation and unemployment has spread everywhere. In these circumstances, the government needs to think for this class.
